For centuries, relief of many common ailments has been attributed to the use of holistic remedies. These remedies, when used properly, can restore good health and balance to our bodies. The power of home remedies is not lost when looking to perform a kidney flush. With all of the medical advances that have been made, the best way to flush kidney stones is simpler than you may believe.

With the use of some water, fresh lemon and readily available seeds, you can help to resolve your situation inexpensively and in the comfort of your own home.

Typically, kidney stones are 7 mm in size or smaller. When flushed well with plenty of fresh water, stones of this size can be passed in a day or so. For a larger stone, water alone may not be enough to help it pass.

To effectively help kidney stones flush, work to restore optimal function using one or a combination of these methods:

1. Drink large quantities of purified water. This will keep you hydrated and will work to flush kidney stones. A kidney flush with water is the method doctors recommend most often. Not only will your kidneys benefit from water flushing, but your liver will benefit as well. Toxins will be purged from your system. More often than not, a kidney flush with water will enable you to pass stones without seeking other medical treatments. For a more detoxifying and cleansing effect, squeeze the juice of half of an organic lemon into each glass of water you consume.

2. Watermelon Seed Tea - A wonderful kidney flush recipe is to add a tablespoon of ground watermelon seeds to a cup of hot water. Let the ground seeds steep for 10 minutes. Drink the tea after straining out the watermelon seed residue. When consumed at least once a day, this tea is effective at not only helping to flush stones but also to prevent them from forming.

3. Celery Seed Tea - Add one tablespoon of ground celery seeds (found with other spices in the supermarket or health food stores) to a mug full of hot water. Let the tea steep for 10 minutes before straining and drinking. If you are pregnant, this remedy should not be used as it stimulates the uterus.

A kidney flush with water is the best, most effective means to rid your body of stones and prevent them from forming. Water consumption will dilute the excess uric acid from your system.

Consult a qualified physician immediately if you are experiencing pain or a bloody discharge during urination.
